Terms of Service

1. Who we are, and what this agreement covers

"Pneumanos", "we", "us", and "our" mean the independent spiritual discernment and consulting practice operating at pneumanos.com. "You" means the person using this site or booking a session.

These Terms govern your use of pneumanos.com and of any consultation you book through it. The Privacy Policy and the Scope of Practice are incorporated into these Terms by reference and carry equal weight.

By using the site, creating an account, or booking a session you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Nature of the service

Pneumanos provides spiritual discernment and consulting: reflective, confidential conversation about meaning, vocation, belief, doubt, grief, and practice. It is a reflective and educational service between adults.

Pneumanos does not provide, and nothing here should be understood as providing: psychotherapy, counselling, psychology, psychiatry, addiction treatment, or any other mental-health treatment; medical, nursing, nutritional, or any other healthcare service; diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment of any physical or mental condition; legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice; or any regulated professional service. No therapeutic, clinical, medical, or fiduciary relationship is created by using this site or attending a session, and this service is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Pneumanos is independent of every religious body. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, funded by, accountable to, or speaking for any church, denomination, temple, mosque, synagogue, sangha, order, movement, or spiritual authority. Nothing said in a session is a religious ruling, sacrament, ordination, absolution, blessing, authoritative interpretation of scripture, or the position of any tradition. Clients of every faith and of none are served on equal terms, and nobody is evangelised, converted, or recruited.

No outcome is promised. There is no guarantee that you will reach clarity, resolve a question, feel better, or arrive at any particular conclusion. All decisions you make remain your own, taken on your own responsibility.

3. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account or book a session.
• Accounts are passwordless. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code sent to it, which means anyone with access to that inbox can access your account. Keep it secure, and consider setting a recovery email so losing that inbox does not mean losing your account.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Give accurate information, and keep your email address current — it is the only way we can reach you about a booking.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anybody, and do not choose a name suggesting you run this practice.
• You may close your account at any time from account settings. Closure is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. Booking a session

• Times shown on the calendar are the times genuinely available. A time is yours once the booking is confirmed and you have received the confirmation email.
• Sessions need a minimum amount of notice before they start (currently two hours), so there is time to read what you have written before we meet.
• Where payment is required, the time is held while you pay. If payment is not completed within a short window, the hold lapses and the time returns to the calendar.
• The description you give of what you would like to discuss is used to prepare for the session. You are never bound by it — you may change direction entirely once we begin.
• Sessions take place by video or telephone at the time booked. It is your responsibility to be reachable, in a place where you can speak freely, with a working connection.

5. Fees and payment

• Current prices are shown on the consultations page and are charged in US dollars. The price shown at the moment you book is the price you pay; later changes never apply retroactively to sessions already bought.
• The introductory consultation is free, offered once per person, and requires no card details. It carries no obligation to book anything further.
• Multi-session paths are paid for once, up front. The sessions they contain do not expire and may be scheduled whenever you are ready.
• Payments are processed by Stripe, an independent third party, under their own terms. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never seen, transmitted, or stored by Pneumanos.
• Where no live payment keys are configured, the site may run payment in a clearly-labelled simulated mode in which no charge is made. Anything shown as "test mode" is exactly that.
• You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you in your own jurisdiction.

6. Cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds

• You may cancel any session yourself, from your sessions page, up to 24 hours before it starts. The session returns to your account unspent and can be rebooked at any time.
• Inside 24 hours, please reply to your confirmation email. Genuine emergencies are treated as emergencies; repeated late cancellations are not.
• If we cancel, you will be told as soon as possible with a reason, the session returns to your account unspent, and you may request a full refund of it instead.
• Refunds. Unused sessions are refundable on request within 12 months of purchase. A session that has taken place is not refundable, because the time was given. If Pneumanos declines to continue working with you, every unused session is refunded automatically.
• Missed sessions. A session you do not attend, without notice, is treated as taken. If something went wrong, write and say so.

7. Your conduct

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, or to threaten, harass, or abuse anyone;
• record a session, in whole or in part, without explicit prior agreement;
• publish, quote, or share what was said in a session in a way that misrepresents it or presents it as professional or religious advice;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its data, or another person's account;
• scrape, probe, overload, or interfere with the site or its infrastructure;
• resell, rebrand, or hold out this service as your own.

We may pause an account's ability to book, or close it permanently, where these Terms are breached. Either way you will be told, given the reason, and told how to appeal, and unused sessions will be refunded.

8. Confidentiality

What you write about a session is encrypted in our database and read only by the practitioner. What you say in a session is treated as private and is not published, sold, shared with third parties for their purposes, or used to train machine-learning systems.

Because this is not a licensed healthcare service, this confidentiality is a professional commitment rather than a legal privilege. It may be limited where there is a credible risk of serious harm to you or another person, where a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk, or where we receive a lawful order we cannot refuse. 9. Intellectual property

The Pneumanos name, the compass mark, the site's text, and its design belong to Pneumanos. You may read, print, and share pages of this site for your own non-commercial use. Everything you write — your profile and your descriptions of what you want to discuss — remains yours; you grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it back to you, and use it to prepare for your sessions.

10. Availability of the site

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Features may change or be withdrawn.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pneumanos is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of your use of this site or of any session.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; the rest continue to apply.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Pneumanos against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of somebody else's rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified by email to account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Any session already booked is governed by the Terms in force when it was booked.

14. General

• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest continue in force.
• No waiver. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Scope of Practice, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• Assignment. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our consent.
• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules of law in their own country of residence.
